Our Team

Adeline Lee

Adeline Lee is a junior at Foothill High School in Pleasanton, California, and started playing the cello in fifth grade. She plays with Young People’s Symphony Orchestra and was previously a member of Oakland Symphony Youth Orchestra. Adeline is also the principal cellist for the FHS Symphony Orchestra. Outside of orchestras, she enjoys playing in small ensembles for volunteering and weddings.

Aaron Hsi

Aaron Hsi started playing the violin at age 4. He is a winner of the San Francisco Innovative Music Competition and is a concertmaster at the East Bay Youth Orchestra. He attends California High School in San Ramon, California as a sophomore. He has performed at concerts and recitals for special needs children and communities, as well as at churches and at retirement homes. In the classical world, he plays and performs many romantic concertos, including but not limited to the Sibelius Violin Concerto, Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto, and the Brahms Violin Concerto.

Jimin Lim

Jimin Lim is a Sophomore at Dublin High School in Dublin, California. She is currently a student under the Engineering and Design Academy. She has been playing the violin since 4th grade. Jimin is part of a non-profit volunteer organization called Music4America, an organization that volunteers or performs at senior centers and hosts fundraising concerts to donate for those in need.

Elizabeth Chin is a sophomore at Lowell High School in San Francisco, California. She has been playing violin since the 2nd grade. Additionally, Elizabeth is also a member of Golden Gate Philharmonic, Golden State Youth Orchestra, and has placed in the US Open Competition. For the past 4 summers, she has also participated in the Advanced Suzuki Institute at Stanford.

Ketivinne Anrich

Ketivinne Anrich is a senior at Mountain House High School. She has been playing the viola for five years and is currently in the Oakland Symphony Youth Orchestra. Ketivinne likes to perform in group settings and contribute to the community through helping school orchestras, playing in county-level orchestras, and performing in recitals.

Isaac Kim is a sophomore at Dublin High School in Dublin, California. He has been playing violin since 5th grade. Also, he had been part of the Berkeley Youth Orchestra and is now currently in Oakland Youth Orchestra. Isaac has been part of a non-profit volunteer organization called Music4America, partaking in performing at senior centers and the according orchestra. In Dublin High School’s Orchestra, he is currently second chair. Isaac has placed in the US International Open Music Competition.

Calvin Chan

Calvin has been playing violin since 4th grade. He has also played piano since he was 6 years old. Under the guidance of his piano teacher, he has composed a piece for string orchestra. Currently, he is a junior at Monte Vista High School, where he plays as the concertmaster. Additionally, he has participated in a fun competition held by violinist Ray Chen where he played violin dressed as a banana!

Colby Chan

Colby has been playing cello since 4th grade. He has also played piano since he was 5 years old. At the moment, he is a freshman at Monte Vista High School, where he plays as the cello section leader. In 2021, he was ranked second in the North California Young Talents Music Competition.

Fiona Xie

Fiona Xie is a junior at California High School. She discovered the violin through her school’s music program, and she began taking lessons at age 12. Aside from violin, Fiona has also been playing piano since age 6, and she plays clarinet in her high school band. She has a huge passion for performing arts and has been involved in dance and theatre throughout her life as well. In middle school, Fiona played as the principal second violinist in 7th grade and as assistant concertmaster in 8th grade for her school’s orchestra. She currently plays first violin with the Livermore Amador Symphony. On top of that, Fiona has also participated in a number of competitions, winning awards in the Music and Stars Competition, the Global Genius Music Competition, and the London Young Musician in both violin and piano. She most recently participated in the London Young Musician of the Year competition and was an Annual Star Award winner. She is so excited to continue sharing her joy of music through melody connect!

Rena Jair

My name is Rena Jair. I’m a Freshman in Foothill High School in Pleasanton, California. I have been playing the viola since 6th grade, and previous to that, the flute for several years. I have been the first chair in my school orchestra and was in the school quartet. I have also participated in the Junior High All State Orchestra 2021-2022.

Vivian Le

Vivian Le has been playing violin since she was 10 years old. She enjoys playing and performing with other musicians, especially in a chamber music setting. She enjoys listening to classical music, particularly Debussy and Bach. She is currently working on her MTAC CM certificate. She has performed in various places and is passionate about spreading the joy of music to others.

Vintine Anrich

Vintine Anrich is a junior at Mountain House High School in California. She has been playing the violin since she was 8 years old and is currently a member of the Oakland Symphony Youth Orchestra. She also plays the oboe and was the principal in her high school’s band. She has also served as concertmaster in the San Joaquin County Honor Orchestra and the East Bay Chamber Orchestra. Vintine enjoys bringing her community together through classical music, by helping out her district’s middle school and high school orchestras and by performing in chamber ensembles.
