Our journey began as a group of student musicians who wanted to spread their musical experiences for a charitable cause. Our first unofficial performance was during Christmas of 2018, where we performed for the residents of Piedmont Gardens, a senior center in Oakland. After this experience, we decided to create an official organization, later to be called Melody Connects. Just as all harmonies are connected through a melody, music is the thread that connects us all.
Our mission is to enrich the lives of others through the sharing of our musical gifts through concerts and education.
Melody Connects is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and is overseen by its Board of Directors.
Melody Connects is also a President’s Volunteer Service Award certifying organization.
