Purpose
- For mentees (grades 3 to 12) to receive 1 on 1 help, or online “tutoring” to supplement their school music instruction.
- To support public school music teachers by aiding the student’s learning process at home.
- We teach violin, viola, cello, bass, piano and voice.
- Currently serving 33 students from 4 states.
How
- Melody Connects will coordinate the scheduling between mentors and mentees.
- All sessions will be held online over Zoom.
- Each mentee will receive a weekly session of 15-30 mins depending on their needs.
Eligibility
- All mentees (violin, viola, cello, bass) are required to be enrolled in their school’s music program.
- There is no school enrollment requirement for piano and voice.

- Device compatible with Zoom
- Internet access
- Instrument
Other Information
- All Melody Connects mentors are of high school age and concerto level.
- All mentors are carefully vetted through a two-step process: a written application and interview.
